In a sincere attempt to convince Israel’s spiritual leaders that He was the Messiah and God in the flesh, Jesus seized an opportunity afforded to Him by five faith-filled friends. In contrast to the faith of those five, none of the spiritual leaders apparently believed in Him, even after witnessing an undeniable miracle.

Amazingly, even when God allows our enemies to “slaughter us like sheep,” that is no indication of His lack of love for us. And when we are slaughtered, we still overwhelmingly conquer. How is that?
